One of the things I learned this past weekend was that when lifting heavy items like a dryer up stairs make sure you do it with people you trust. What level of trust you may ask?
Trust in you life!
Or at least enough to point out that there is one more step mid-hallway of the 3rd floor apartment. Especially after you were told, "No more steps!" when you reached the top of the flight of stairs.
Oh, but there was one more. Urgh.
And, almost as bad, the guy holding the other end of the washer didn't say anything. Maybe he didn't spot it, but that motherfucker was like 6 foot 4! I was the one walking backwards!
Lucky for me that it was the dryer and not the washer or I could have really been hurt.

This afternoon I found myself channeling my father, but not in the way mist of you would think. Driving in my apartment complex I passed a bunch of teenagers half in the road. As I passed them I looked in the mirror and saw two of the boys reach out to touch my car. I slammed on my brakes and jumped out to confront them. They must've been surprised. There were immediate apologies as well as the explaination that they had slipped because it was wet out. I accepted the apologies and got back in my car. Totally something my Dad would do...

Fuck you! That is what I should have said to the idiot when she said that I shouldn't talk down to her. Talk down to her? All I asked was if she remembered the discussion we had on Friday with my VP and us telling her don't do X. I come in this morning and she is doing X. I think the normal thought process would be to ask if she remembered that discussion. Not like I asked if she had a brain injury over the weekend. And, of course, she complains. But when the people you complain to were the people involved in that discussion Friday it never looks good.
Urgh!
